PREP SPORTS: Port Townsend volleyball bumps Vashon 3-1; Sequim-Port Angeles tennis postponed

PORT TOWNSEND — Port Townsend’s volleyball team wrapped its nonleague slate with a 3-1 triumph over the visiting Vashon Pirates.

The Redhawks claimed the match 25-19, 25-12, 23-25, 25-20.

Abby McGuire paced Port Townsend with 10 assists, seven kills, five digs and three aces.

Teammate Avery Selisch contributed eight digs, five kills and three aces.

Addi Richert added four kills and three blocks for the Redhawks.

Teammate Amy Hemsley had 12 assists, four kills and six digs, Megan Juran had four kills and Megan Lee 20 digs in the victory.

Port Townsend (5-2) is riding a two-game winning streak into the opening week of Olympic League 1A division play.

The Redhawks have league contests against Chimacum and Coupeville this week.
