Quilcene doesn’t play, still clinches
QUILCENE — Muckleshoot forfeited its game against the Rangers, so Quilcene held an intra-squad scrimmage and celebrated homecoming.
Rangers coach Byron Wilson said Saturday’s scrimmage was well-attended by the community.
Despite not playing, Quilcene (2-1, 5-1) clinches a postseason berth because it is now assured a top-three finish in the SeaTac League.
The Rangers play at Seattle Lutheran (1-1, 4-2) on Saturday. The winner will claim second place in the league.
“We’re at least third,” Quilcene coach Byron Wilson said. “That’s where we want to be.”
