PORT ANGELES — The Port Angeles girls swimming and diving team nearly doubled up Port Townsend 120-64, winning nine of 12 events at William Shore Memorial Pool.
Two Port Angeles swimmers were double winners. Audra Perrizo won the 100-yard freestyle in 59.08 seconds and the 200 individual medley in 2:32.57.
Carter Juskevich won the 200 free with a time of 2:03.58 and claimed the 500 free after finishing in 5:37.49.
Jaine Macias won the 100 breaststroke in 1:16.78.
Port Angeles swimmers Autumn Sheldon and Jane Rudzinski qualified for districts in the 200 free, Lum Fu and Hailey Scott qualified in the 50 free and Perrizo and Sheldon made it in the 500 free.
Port Townsend used its first match in a regulation-length pool to qualify a host of swimmers for districts.
Qualifiers included its 200 medley relay team of Corinne Pierson, Tanner Matthew, Corinna Snider, Ismay Gale, Keira Matkins in the 200 free, Rose Ridder, Chloe Rogers and Ismay Gale in the 50 free.
Other Redhawks qualifiers are Camille Ottaway in the 100 fly and 500 free; Ridder, Rogers and Gale in the 100 free; the 200 free relay team of Ridder, Matkins, Matthew and Rogers; Pierson in the 100 back; Matthew in the 100 breast; and the 400 free relay squad of Ridder, Gale, Matkins and Rogers.
Volleyball
Quilcene 3, Auburn Adventist 0
QUILCENE — The Rangers were tested in a 25-23, 25-21, 25-22 three-set sweep of the Falcons.
“Our serving was much improved tonight with four out of the six servers serving over our target percentage of 90 percent,” Quilcene coach Joni Crowell said of Thursday’s game.
Katie Bailey led the Rangers with a perfect night on serves, going 18 for 18 from the line.
Crowell said Samantha Rae was strong at the net with 13 kills and Allison Jones had excellent setting, recording 24 assists.
Emily Hitt led the Rangers in digs with six and Katie Love chipped in with two blocks.
Quilcene (4-0, 6-1) hosts Christian Faith, last year’s state runner-up, on Tuesday.

Port Townsend drops pair
BELFAIR — The Redhawks dropped a pair of away games this week.
Port Townsend fell 6-0 at North Mason on Tuesday after the Bulldogs put four goals across in a 20-minute span.
The Redhawks fared better in a 1-0 loss to the Olympic JV on Thursday night at Silverdale Stadium.
Port Townsend allowed a goal in the first minute but settled down in the second half and created opportunities.
“[We] were clearly outplayed in the first half after letting in a freak goal in the first minute,” Redhawks coach Colin Foden said.
“The second half, however, was a different story. [We] created a number of chances and looked like a different team.”
Foden said Emily Franklin, Kaitlyn Meek and Hannah Marx “looked dangerous on attack and McKinzie Ginther was outstanding in defense.”
Foden added that “Tyler Iseke-Wade played with confidence and creativity.”
Port Townsend welcomed Bethany Lynch for her first game, and Foden said she “played very well and learned quickly what it takes to play at this level.”
Port Townsend (0-6) hosts Sequim this Saturday.
Rochester 12, Forks 0
FORKS — The inexperienced Spartans are showing progress, according to coach Joe Morton.
“We are starting to play a little more offensively as the season progresses,” Morton said.
“Rani Banks and Payton Harding both played really hard and their passion for the game continues to shine even though our record is what it is.”
Winless Forks plays at Tenino (0-4, 1-4) on Tuesday.

Sequim 4, Port Angeles 3
SEQUIM — The Wolves edged the Riders in a match resumed Thursday after darkness halted play Monday.
After four away matches in seven days, Port Angeles coach Gil Stockton described his team as “exhausted.”
Stockton awarded the match ball to the team of Matt Hendry and Kody Kuch for “outstanding play, good cheer and stamina . . . given this was their eighth match [three in last Saturday’s Central Kitsap invite] in nine days.”
