SEQUIM — The Forks girls softball team got fives hits and a pair of home runs from Avery Dilley and scored a total of 37 runs in a doubleheader sweep of Sequim.
Forks won its first game 19-1 and the second 18-9.
In the two games combined, Dilley was 5-for-5 with two home runs, a double, five runs scored and six RBIs. Bailey Johnson also hit a home run and a triple, going 4-for-6 with six runs scored and six RBIs.
Kylie Hull hit a double with two RBIs in the opening game, while Brooklyn Rondeau had a double, a run scored and an RBI in game two.
In the nightcap, Fynlie Peters was 2-for-2 with three runs scored, three RBIs and three stolen bases.
For Sequim, Mia Kirner hit a home run. In the two games, she went 3-for-5 with two runs scored and three RBIs. Rylie Doig went 4-for-4 with four runs scored and an RBI. Ava Ritter had a hit and an RBI is game two.
In the opening game, the Spartans’ Chloe Gaydeski took the rubber and pitched the entire five innings, allowing three hits while striking out 10.
Sequim (0-2) next plays at Kingston at 4 p.m. Thursday.
Forks (2-0) next plays a doubleheader against the Port Angeles JV at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. Tuesday at Tillicum Park.

ANACORTES — The Port Angeles girls softball team, coming off a fourth-place finish at the state 2A tournament last year, started right where it left off with a season-0pening perfect game by Heidi Leitz and a pair of wins over Lynden and Lynden Christian.
Leitz struck out 11 and allowed zero hits and zero walks in a 10-0 five-inning win over Lynden. She also had a single and two RBIs.
Abby Kimball was 2-for-2 with a single, double and a walk and scored three runs.
Lynzee Reid also had a hit, a run scored and two RBIs, while Kennedy Rognlien had a hit, a walk and scored two runs. Lexie Smith had two walks and scored twice, while Morgan Politika had a single, a sacrifice fly, scored a run and drove in two.
In the Lynden Christian game, Reid and Leitz combined on a five-hitter. Reid went four innings, allowed four hits, one walk and three runs. Leitz went the final three with seven strikeouts, allowing one hit and one walk.
Several Riders had big games at the plate against the Lyncs. Reid was 3-for-3 with a double and a walk, scoring two runs and driving in three. Rognlien was 3-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI.
Leitz was 2-for-4 with a triple, a run scored and two RBIs. Smith and Politika both went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.
Port Angeles (2-0) is off until Friday when the Riders host Renton at Dry Creek Elementary at 4:15 p.m.
Baseball Ingraham 11, Port Angeles 1
PORT ANGELES — Playing in very wet conditions Saturday, the Port Angeles boys baseball got one-hit by a trio of Ingraham pitchers in the Roughriders’ season opener, an 11-1 loss.
Kody Williams had the Riders’ lone hit, a double. Rylan Politika had a sacrifice fly RBI, while Alex Angevine had a run scored and a stolen base.
On the mound, Maeson Grice had a good showing, going two innings and allowing just one hit and no runs while striking out two.
