SILVERDALE — The Port Angeles boys tennis team went 7-0 in a road win at Olympic on Monday to remain undefeated on the season.
Singles players Nathan Basden and Matthew Miller each won in straight sets.
In doubles play, the team of Luke Flodstrom/Tate Alton and Reid Schmidt/Keatyn Hoch also won in straight sets.
CJ Elliott won his singles match by forfeit and the Roughriders’ doubles teams of Austin Worthington/Grant Butterworth and Parab Seera/Garret Buerer won by forfeit as Olympic was short of players.
Port Angeles coach Brian Gunderson singled out the No. 1 doubles team of Flodstrom and Alton as the players of the match.
“I was really impressed with how Luke and Tate played as a team. They really controlled the ball and communicated well out there,” Gundersen said.
Port Angeles (3-0) travels to Bainbridge (1-1) today.

North Kitsap 6, Sequim 1
POULSBO — Sequim’s Garrett Little picked up where he left off last season, easily winning his match Monday against North Kitsap’s top player.
Little, who finished second at the 2A state championships in May, beat the Vikings’ Indigo Gallagher-Zapf 6-1, 6-1. Gallagher-Zapf placed eighth at state last year.
The powerful North Kitsap team, which had three other players last year who placed at state, won the rest of the matches.
The Vikings’ Dayshawn Harper, who placed fifth at state, beat Sequim’s William Hughes.
Sequim (0-2) next hosts North Mason (0-0) at 4 p.m. today.

CHIMACUM — The East Jefferson volleyball team won its first match of the year with a 3-0 (25-14, 25-11, 25-21) sweep over Charles Wright at Chimacum High School on Monday.
The Rivals’ Penina Vialolo had nine hits, six of which were kills, as well as four blocks. Elise Gardner led the team with 16 serves, six of them aces.
“The girls stayed positive throughout the game and played well together. They are growing as a team and we look forward to a strong season,” said coach Carrie Beebe.
East Jefferson (1-1, 1-1) hosts Bellevue Christian (1-1, 1-2) at Chimacum at 6:30 p.m. today.
