PORT ANGELES — Port Angeles won all six contested matches in straight sets in a 6-0 Olympic League boys tennis match win over East Jefferson.
The Roughriders improved to 3-1 with the win and were led by No. 1 singles player Reef Gelder, who won in straight sets 6-1, 6-3 over Carter Cameron.
“Reef played a really consistent match today. His serve was a weapon and he was all over the court,” said coach Brian Gundersen.

Boys Basketball Port Angeles 71, North Mason 42
BELFAIR — After a ragged game offensively against Sequim, the Port Angeles Roughriders were efficient on offense while still playing their stifling defense en route to a 71-42 road win over North Mason.
The Riders made 11 3-pointers, with Xander Maestas hitting four and Wyatt Dunning making three. Seven different players hit threes.
Dunning led the team with 19 points, while Maestas had 16. John Vaara added 12 points on the inside, including two points on a big dunk.
“Our rotations were crisp, we forced some turnovers,” said coach Kasey Ulin. “Our ball movement was really good and our spacing. I was happy with our offense.”
The win keeps the Riders perfect at 4-0. The Bulldogs’ 42 points were the most the Roughrider have allowed all year, but 14 of those came in the fourth quarter when the game was out of reach. Port Angeles has outscored their opponents by an average score of 73–30.
Port Angeles next plays at East Jefferson (0-4) in Chimacum at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Neah Bay 47, Crescent 36
JOYCE — In their season opener, the Red Devils got a boost down the stretch from eighth-graders Jodell Wimberly and Makyah Chambers to hold back the Loggers.
“It was a fun game to be a part of,” Neah Bay coach Kane Bachelor said. “Both of our captains [Julian Carrick and Malcom Lovik] fouled out and our eighth graders played the whole fourth quarter. To see them step up in their first varsity game was awesome.”
Jaden Halttunen led the Red Devils with 12 points, four steals, four rebounds and an assist.
“Jaden led the press and got us some steals and points in transition,” Bachelor said.
Carrick had 10 points and Wimberly and Chambers added eight points apiece.
“I liked the response I saw from our guys when we had Julian foul out,” Bachelor said. “As coaches we can trust the team.”
Brendon Bergstrom led Crescent (0-3) with 16 points.
“Crescent is a well-coached team and Chris [Ferrier] has them playing hard,” Bachelor said.
The Red Devils (1-0) hosted Concordia Christian late Saturday.
