FORKS — The Neah Bay boys basketball team got five players in double figures to hold off Forks in a hard-fought 73-65 nonleague win over the Spartans.

Buddy Aguirre led the way for the Red Devils with 15 points and 11 rebounds. He shot 5-for-6 from the field and 5-for-6 from the free-throw line. Jaden Halttunen scored 14, shooting 6-for-11 from the field.

Jodell Wimberley scored 13, Tyler Swan 11 and Makyah Chambers 10 for the Red Devils. Swan added 14 rebounds.

Aiden Salazar led the Spartans with 23 points. He only took seven shots all game, hitting five field goals, including two 3-pointers, but he also converted 11 out of 14 free throws to get nearly half his points.

Dylan Micheau scored 11 and Brody Lausche and Landin Davis each scored eight for Forks. Micheau and Grady Earls each hit a pair of 3-pointers.

Neah Bay (2-2) next hosts Coupeville at 3 p.m. Saturday in a nonleague game. Forks (2-3, 3-7) hosts league leader Chief Leschi (5-0, 10-1) in a Pacific 2B League game at 7 p.m. today.

PORT ANGELES — After dropping the first game of the match against Sequim, Port Angeles settled in to beat the Wolves 5-2 on Monday.

Violet Mills, Zoey Van Gordon and Taylor Worthington all bowled personal-best single-game scores, while Abby Robinson rolled a two-game match high of 270 to pace the Roughriders. Port Angeles traveled to Klahowya for a match Tuesday after press deadline and then hosts Klahowya at Laurel Lanes at 2:45 p.m. Thursday.
