BELFAIR — The Port Angeles baseball team got another great pitching performance from Colton Romero and four runs in the seventh inning to help hold off North Mason 10-6 in an Olympic League victory.
Romero started, going five innings and allowing just four hits and one earned run. He struck out 10.
The Bulldogs did score five runs in the sixth and seventh against Port Angeles’ relievers, but the Riders’ Kody Williams came in to shut them down in the seventh.
Nate Basden had a big day, going 2-for-2 at the plate with a double and three RBIs. Rylan Politika was 2-for-4 and Bryce DeLeon was 2-for-2 with two runs scored. Luke Flodstrom had a double and an RBI.
Port Angeles (7-2, 11-4) hosts North Mason (3-6, 4-7) at Civic Field at 4:15 p.m.

BREMERTON — The Sequim baseball team rallied with a five-run sixth inning to come from behind to beat Bremerton.
Ethan Staples had the big blow in the sixth inning, a two-run triple. He also walked, stole two bases and scored two runs.
The Wolves took advantage of 15 Bremerton walks.
Brayden White was 2-for-4 with a double and four RBIs and Bryant Laboy was 2-for-3 with a run, an RBI and a walk.
Hunter Tennell walked three times and had a hit, scoring three runs. Zeke Schmadeke walked three times, stole two bases and scored two runs.
Laboy also pitched 3⅓ runs in relief, allowing two hits and no earned runs. He struck out two.
Sequim (3-6, 6-7) plays Bremerton (0-9, 0-9) again at 4:15 p.m. today.

Forks Track and Field
FORKS — The Forks boys and girls track teams both dominated a Pacific 2B League meet.
The Forks boys had 246 points, well ahead of Ocosta’s 116, while the girls had 230 points. Ocosta was again second at 124.
Noah Foster and Nate Dahlgren both had huge days.
Foster won the 100 (12.08 seconds, a personal record), the 200 (0:25.1) and the 400 (54.95). Dahlgren, a field specialist, won the shot put (40 feet, 9 inches), the discus (127-0 feet) and was second in the javelin (119-10). Winning the javelin was his teammate Joe Franklin with a throw of 121-3.
Gage Willenbrink won the high jump at 5-2 and Malachi Rowley took first in the long jump at 17-4¼. The Forks 4×400 relay team (Ryan Anderson, Rowley, Willenbrink and Isaac Gonzalez took first in a time of 4:00.94.
For the girls, Peyton Johnson took first in the javelin with a throw of 95-9 and LaRayne Blair won the triple jump with a distance of 21-9.
Also winning were the Forks 4×100 team (Moli Luong, Maryleidy H-Beltran, Allie Coons and Natalie Horejsi) in a time of 58.8 and the 4×400 relay (Luong, Caitlynn Cooney, Kendall Marshall and Horejsi) in 5:27.
