PREP ROUNDUP: Port Angeles girls out-roll Sequim

PORT ANGELES — The Port Angeles girls bowling team beat Sequim 5-2 on Monday for an Olympic League sweep.

After splitting the first two games, the Roughriders took both Baker games as well as the total pin count to take the match.

Port Angeles’ Abby Robinson, who has been the anchor for the Riders this season, averaged a 172 (164-180), while Zoey Van Gordon set a season high of 159.

For Sequim, Morgan Keyser rolled a 165 and Nikoline Updike added a 156.

Full Sequim scores included: Kimberly Heintz 126-125, Cooper Hiatt 96-101, Skylar Krzyworz 95-105, Kayser 130-165 and Updike 140-156.

Full Port Angeles scores included: Van Gordon 159-107, Sophie Constant 106, Xoey Penn 135-106, Paige Pangaro 125-143, Robinson 164-180 and Jule Getzin 101.

Both teams will compete at Laurel Lanes on Thursday. Port Angeles faces North Mason at 2:45 p.m. and Sequim hosts Klahowya at 3 p.m.
