QUILCENE — The Quilcene basketball girls’ Sea-Tac 1B League playoff game originally set to be played Monday night has been rescheduled a second time due to snow to 7 p.m. today at Quilcene High School.
Quilcene’s opponent, Puget Sound Adventist, canceled school Tuesday, prompting a second reschedule. The game had been rescheduled to Tuesday.
Other playoff developments:
• The Forks basketball girls played a play-in game with Tenino Tuesday night (after press deadline) for the No. 4 seed out of the Evergreen 1A League. If the girls win and gain the No. 4 seed, they would next play La Center at 7 p.m. Friday in the opening round of the District 4 1A Girls Basketball Tournament being held in Kelso.
• Despite the snow, the Port Angeles boys are still scheduled to play White River in the West Central District 3 Tournament at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday.
“Our bus is ready and has been cleared for departure,” said Port Angeles Athletic Director Dwyane Johnson.
• The Neah Bay boys and girls will get to play their Tri-District 1B games in Port Angeles. The boys and girls both won the North Olympic 1B League (and both have identical 17-3 records) and get first- round byes. The Clallam Bay girls will also play at Port Angeles High School.
The Clallam Bay girls (6-3, 13-5) will play a first-round game at Port Angeles at 5:15 p.m. Feb. 14.
The Neah Bay girls are scheduled to play at 5:15 p.m. Feb. 16 at Port Angeles High School, while the boys are scheduled to play at 7 p.m. Feb. 16.
The Neah Bay teams simply need to win one game to qualify for the State 1B Tournament. The Clallam Bay girls could make it to state by winning two games, or winning a consolation game.
Clallam Bay and Neah Bay’s opponents will be determined by the 1B District Tournament being held this week.
