NEAH BAY — The Neah Bay basketball boys extended their winning streak to 11 games with another offensive explosion in a 81-65 win over North Olympic 1A League rival Chief Kitsap.
The Red Devils got their usual balance with five players in double figures.
The Red Devils have a different scoring leader seemingly every game. On Saturday, Cameron Moore led the Red Devils with 20 (all in the first half), while Kenrick Doherty Jr. hit three 3-pointers and scored 15. Anthony Bitegeko scored 12, Cole Svec 10 and Rhewabura Munyagi 10.
Interestingly, as of Sunday, Chief Kitsap remains the No. 1-ranked boys’ 1B team in the state according to the WIAA’s new RPI rating, even though Neah Bay has handily beaten Chief Kitsap twice. Neah Bay, which started out ranked No. 13, has climbed up to No. 6 in the RPI rankings.
Neah Bay (12-3, 6-0) next hosts Taholah at 7 p.m. today, then hosts Forks at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Quilcene 52, Christian Faith 21
QUILCENE — The Quilcene boys got their first Sea-Tac 1B League win of the year, as 11 players scored in a 52-21 victory over Christian Faith.
Robert Comstock led the Rangers with 13 points, while Acea Such scored 10 and Ethan Davis eight.
The Rangers were only up 7-6 after the first quarter in Friday’s game but then erupted for 23 points in the second quarter to put the game out of reach.
“We came out a little sloppy, but then came on a little bit [in the second quarter],” said coach Richie French.
“Hopefully, we’re turning a corner. We just seem to have one bad quarter,” French said.
The Rangers also lost a game on Wednesday of last week to Rainier Christian 76-66. French said his players gave a hard effort, but that one bad quarter bug bit the Rangers. Comstock led Quilcene with 16, while Such and Olin Reynolds each scored 11 and Jarod Smith scored 10.
Quilcene (1-7, 6-9) next hosts John Paul II at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Tristin Johnson scored nine, while Gina McCaulley scored seven. Nine different Red Devils players scored.

FRIDAY HARBOR — The Sequim girls lost a pair of games this weekend, 32-25 to Friday Harbor in a nonleague game and 50-29 to North Kitsap in an Olympic League 2A Division setback.
In Saturday’s game in Friday Harbor, the Wolves were led by Hope Glasser with eight points and Ella Christiansen with seven. In Friday’s loss against first-place North Kitsap, Christiansen led the team with 10 points, while Adrienne Haggerty scored seven.
