NEAH BAY — The Neah Bay basketball boys came roaring back in the second half to win their fourth game in a row with a 55-51 win over Sequim.
Meanwhile, the Neah Bay girls got back on the winning track by beating Sequim 45-42.
The Red Devil boys got 14 points from Rhewabura Munyagi, 12 points each from Anthony Bitegeko and Kenrick Doherty and 10 from Cameron Moore in Wednesday’s game. Bitegeko also added 10 rebounds. Doherty hit three 3-pointers, while Bitegeko, Moore and Sean Bitegeko each hit two.
Sequim took a 39-21 lead into the half, but the Red Devils outscored the Wolves 20-7 in the third quarter and 14-5 in the fourth to pull the game out.
Payton Glasser hit four 3-pointers and led the Wolves with 20 and nine rebounds, while Nate Despain scored 12 and Riley Cowan 10.
In three of their last wins, the 1B Red Devils have beaten two 1A schools and a 2A school.
Neah Bay (4-3) next plays at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Clallam Bay.
Sequim (2-9, 0-5) next plays at North Mason at 7 p.m. Friday.

Chimacum JV 63, Crescent 46
CHIMACUM — The Chimacum boys junior varsity rode a 25-point second quarter to beat Crescent 63-46.
Crescent was led by Wyatt McNeese and Neil Peppard with 14 points each.
Girls Basketball
Neah Bay 45, Sequim 42
NEAH BAY — Neah Bay got 16 points from Gina McCaulley and 14 from Tristin Johnson to get back on the winning track in a 45-42 victory over Sequim.
Adrienne Haggerty scored 17 for the Wolves, while Ella Chistiansen added nine. Cei’J Gagnon scored eight points for the Red Devils.
The Red Devils (5-2) had lost two straight at the Crush in the Slush in Port Townsend. The victory was their first since Dec. 19 of last year.
Neah Bay next plays at Clallam Bay at 5 p.m. Friday.
Sequim (4-5, 2-3) next hosts North Mason at 7 p.m. Friday.

Crescent 36, Chimacum JV 30
CHIMACUM — The Crescent girls beat the Chimacum JV squad behind 10 points from Hannah Lee and 13 rebounds from McKenzie Brennan.
Coach Kelly Serrianne said Crescent played really strong defense, led by Brennan with eight steals.
Ashara Dodson also had seven rebounds and four points for the Loggers.
The Chimacum JV was led by Hunter Haralson with 10 points.
Crescent (2-6) next plays at 5 p.m. Friday at home against Chief Kitsap.

Boys Swimming
Klahowya 99, Sequim 52
SILVERDALE — Sequim’s Liam Payne too first place in the 100 breaststroke and picked up a second place in the 200 individual medley in a make-up meet against Klahowya.
Klahowya won the meet 99 to 52.
Payne’s winning time of 1 minute, 20.31 seconds was a full second off his previous best, said coach Linda Moats.
Other top finishes for Sequim were a second place by Alex Berikoff in the 50 freestyle and a second place in the 100 butterfly. swam a make-up meet against Klahowya.
Mike Larsen finished second to Payne in the 100 breastroke.
Jax Thornton came in second in both the 200 freestyle and 500 freestyle. Moats said that Thornton’s 200 freestyle time of 2:18.40 seconds only missed Districts qualifying by five seconds.
Moats said that Steve Nguyen dropped six seconds off his previous best time in the 50 freestyle and more than 10 seconds off his previous best 100 freestyle time.
She said James Thayer dropped six seconds off his previous best in the 100 freestyle.
The Sequim swim team competed Thursday against Olympic. The Wolves’ next meet after that is at Port Angeles at 3 p.m. Jan. 12.
