PREP GOLF: Sequim’s McMenamin, Wiker Olympic golf MVPs

PORT ANGELES — Sequim’s Blake Wiker and Alex McMenamin were named the Olympic League golf MVPs, while Sequim’s boys’ coach Bill Shea was named boys’ coach of the year.

Wiker and McMenamin both qualified for the state 2A golf tournament.

Also making the first team were Sequim’s Paul Jacobsen, Andrew Vanderberg and Josiah Carter for the boys and Sarah Shea for the girls.

Mathew Locke of Port Angles and Patrick Morton of Port Townend were named to the boys’ second team, while Samantha Smith made the girls’ second team for Sequim.
