BREMERTON — Savante Perrigo turned a broken play into a 34-yard touchdown in the final minute to elminate Sequim from the postseason.
Finding nobody to hand off to on third-and-5, Perrigo, Bremerton’s quarterback, took the ball himself and dodged would-be tacklers to score and give the Knights a 27-20 win over the Wolves on Thursday night.
Sequim entered the night in sole possession of third place in Olympic League 2A but only a game ahead of Bremerton and Kingston.
The Wolves needed to win Thursday or to lose by less than three points to Bremerton, or have Port Angeles defeat Kingston.
None of those three scenarios came to pass. Sequim lost by seven points, and the Buccaneers beat the Roughriders 45-21 on Thursday.
Kingston and Bremerton claim the league’s final two postseason berths and will advance to play-in games Tuesday.

PORT ANGELES — The Roughriders did rival Sequim no favors in their season-ending loss to the Buccaneers at Civic Field on Thursday night.
Big plays by Kingston and five turnovers doomed Port Angeles.
The Buccaneers committed three turnovers of their own, but also had three drives one-play scoring drives, including a 59-yard run by Alex Barrett in the second quarter after the Riders had cut Kingston’s lead to 14-7.
Kellen Landry scored three times for Port Angeles: a 5-yard run, a 2-yard run and a 50-yard pass from Tyrus Beckett on a wheel rout.
Landry’s second running TD was set up by a 73-yard halfback pass from Ryan Rodocker to Joe Danz.
The Riders conclude the season with a 1-8 overall record (1-5 in Olympic League 2A).

MONTESANO — The Cruisers blanked the Spartans to claim the Evergreen League’s final postseason berth.
Forks falls to 1-8 (0-6 in league).
Other area note
Lummi’s 67-28 win over Tulalip Heritage earns the Blackhawks second place, behind Neah Bay, in the Northwest Football League.
The Hawks finish third, which means they will host Quilcene at Quad-Districts next week.
