PREP FOOTBALL: Sequim loses to North Kitsap 31-14

POULSBO — In its two Olympic League games, Sequim has allowed the spotted its opponents a big first half lead.

Last week against Bremerton, the Wolves rallied back to put themselves in position to win the game.

They weren’t so fortunate against North Kitsap on Friday.

After trailing 31-7 at halftime, Sequim’s defense held the Vikings scoreless and quarterback Miguel Moroles moved the offense, but the Wolves only found the end zone once more.

For the second year in a row, Sequim begins the season 0-4 (0-2 in league play).

Moroles completed 20 of 37 passes for 249 yards and two touchdowns. He also ran for 20 yards on six carries.

Brett Wright continued his big-play ways with a 60-yard touchdown catch. Wright finished with seven catches for 103 yards.

Josiah Anastasi caught six passes for 106 yards.

Ian Dennis caught the other touchdown pass, a 15-yarder in the third quarter.

Sophomore running back Ty Jones led the Wolves’ running attck with 45 yards on 18 carries.

Sequim hosts Olympic (1-1, 2-2), which is coming off a 46-6 rout of Port Angeles, on Friday.

North Kitsap moves to 2-0 in league play (2-2 overall), which puts them in a first-place tie with Kingston and North Mason.
