SEQUIM — The Sequim Wolves went into halftime down 14-13 against the Kingston Buccaneers, but rallied with a 14-0 second half to win 27-14 at home.
Sequim was helped by 13 penalties against Kingston in the second half, including four unsportsmanlike conduct penalties.
After starting the season 0-3, it was the second straight win for the Wolves after they also rallied in the second half last week to beat Port Angeles 36-32.
Sequim (2-1, 2-3) next plays at home at 7 p.m. Friday against powerful Olympic (3-0, 4-0).
Clallam Bay 64, Mary M. Knight 6
CLALLAM BAY — The Bruins got a total team effort in beating Mary M. Knight for the second time this season 64-6.
“It was a good game. They’re young like us,” said head coach George Patecek. “We controlled the line of scrimmage and overpowered their defensive line.”
Patecek said the Bruins were a bit bruised and battered after losing to Lake Quinault the week before but came together agianst the Owls this week.
“Everyone contributed. They really played like a team,” he said.
Clallam Bay (2-2) next plays the Washington School for the Deaf.
Other Friday night scores include Quilcene 60-12 over Concrete on the road. Quilcene played without starting quarterback Jayden Love, who broke his leg a week earlier against Entiat.
Raymond also beat Forks 20-7 and on Thursday night, Olympic beat Port Angeles 42-3.
