PREP FOOTBALL: Port Angeles, Sequim place six on Olympic League First Team; Port Townsend’s Sua voted Offensive MVP

Port Angeles and Sequim combined to place six players on the Olympic League 2A First Team.

Port Angeles senior lineman Roberto Coronel and Sequim senior quarterback and sophomore wide receiver Bailey Earley were voted to the first team offense.

Roughriders junior linebacker Kellen Landry joins Sequim junior Chris Whitaker and sophomore Dylan Lott on the first team defense.

Port Angeles had four second team honorees: senior running back Nathan Angevine, senior wide receiver/running back Miki Andrus, junior tight end Caleb West and junior punter Jacob Kennedy.

Junior defensive lineman Jack Shea and freshman kick returner Gavin Velarde made the second team for Sequim.

Port Angeles lineman John Boesenberg and Sequim safety Josiah Anastasi earned honorable mention.

The Roughriders also earned the team sportsmanship award.

As expected, Port Townsend dominated the Olympic League 1A honors.

Junior running back David Sua was voted Offensive MVP after running for 782 yards and seven touchdowns on 98 carries.

The Redhawks’ offensive first team honorees are senior quarterback Jeff Seton, junior running back Wesley Wheeler, junior offensive lineman David Hoglund and senior linemen Zach Parcher and Luke Flanigan.

Senior defensive lineman Liam Anderson, junior linebacker Keegan Khile, senior linebacker Zach Wilson and junior defensive back Jacob Ralls all were voted to the first team defense.

Ralls also was voted as the top kickoff returner in the 1A division.

Chimacum’s Drew Yackulic was picked to the first team defense. It was the senior defensive back’s third consecutive year receiving all-league honors.

Port Townsend wide receiver Cameron Constantine and Chimacum lineman Trevon Noel received honorable mention.
