BREMERTON — Sequim (3-0, 5-0) can go a long way toward sewing up the Olympic League 2A Division title tonight at Silverdale Stadium if the Wolves can slow down the Olympic Trojans offense and remain unbeaten.
Olympic (2-1, 2-3) dominated Port Angeles 55-6, taking advantage of five Roughriders’ turnovers last week.
The Trojans have weapons in running back Malcom Dewalt, who just received an offer to play at Howard University this week, and wide receiver Darrelle White who showed good hands on both sides of the ball, returning an interception for a touchdown. And Olympic has a quarterback who knows how to distribute the ball in Zeke Gillick.
It’s a fast-paced offense built on speed more than power, a different look for a Sequim defense that has shut down hard-running attacks from Forks, North Kitsap and North Mason thus far.
And the Trojans are the best passing team Sequim has faced.
A win over Olympic would provide the Wolves the chance to clinch at least a share of the Olympic League championship with a Rainshadow Rumble rivalry win at home against Port Angeles next week.
Prediction: Sequim 28, Olympic 21
Port Angeles at Bremerton
BREMERTON — The Knights turned their season around with a one-point win over North Mason (28-27) to stay in the thick of the Olympic League playoff chase.
Bremerton (1-1, 2-3) got off to a rough start by playing a tough schedule to open the season in blowout losses against ranked Black Hills (10th in 2A), Class 3A Wilson and a North Kitsap team smarting after a loss to Sequim.
Prediction: Bremerton 35, Port Angeles 13
Tenino at Forks
FORKS — The Spartans know how to schedule for maximum homecoming happiness: Pick the team that went winless in league play the year before.
Forks (0-1, 3-2) should get back on the right track by beating the Beavers (0-1, 0-5).
Prediction: Forks 40, Tenino 12
Cascade Christian at Chimacum
PORT TOWNSEND — The Cougars are the program everyone in the Nisqually/Olympic League, public school or private, wants to be. Perennial league title winners who can make runs in the state playoffs.
Prediction: Cascade Christian 44, Chimacum 16
Neah Bay at Naselle
NASELLE — The Comets boast too many weapons for an improved Red Devils’ team to contain. Naselle (1-0, 4-1) beat up on Lummi 46-12 last week and is likely to be the west side representative in the Class 1B state championship in December. But Quilcene may have something to say about that down the road.
Prediction: Naselle 52, Neah Bay 26

QUILCENE — The Rangers (1-0, 5-0) can go a long way toward sewing up a second-consecutive Sea-Tac League championship with a win over the Mustangs.
I don’t think the Mustangs have the offense to keep pace with the Rangers.

Port Townsend at Bellevue Christian
SAMMAMISH — ‘Gaudy’ can be used to describe the rushing stats put up by Redhawks freshman Jerome Reaux Jr. has 27 carries for 414 yards (15.3 yards/per carry) and two TDs thus far on the season, getting much of his looks through counter runs.
Lead back Dylan Tracer isn’t far behind Reaux yards-wise with 53 carries for 360 yards and three scores.
Port Townsend (2-0, 2-3) looks to stay perfect in league play with a win against the Vikings in a 5 p.m. Saturday kick at Sammamish High School
