PREP FOOTBALL: Neah Bay still No. 1 in latest poll

NEAH BAY RETAINED its No. 1 ranking in Class 1B in The Associated Press prep football poll released Wednesday.

The Red Devils picked up 10 of the 13 first-place votes in the poll of sports writers from throughout the state. Touchet, ranked second, claimed one first-place vote and No. 3 Liberty Christian had the two others.

Colton moved up to fourth in 1B and Lummi, which lost to Neah Bay last week, moved down to fifth.

No other North Olympic Peninsula teams show up in this week’s rankings, but North Kitsap, an Olympic League foe of Port Angeles and Sequim, entered the Class 2A rankings at No. 7.
