PREP CROSS COUNTRY: Sequim’s Ellefson 19th at Nike Hole in the Wall

ARLINGTON — Sequim’s Colby Ellefson had an excellent race in this weekend’s Nike Hole in the Wall, finishing 19th in the men’s varsity gold division.

The varsity gold is the second-toughest class at the Hole in the Wall event, which featured thousands of the top runners from all school classifications in Washington, Oregon and Idaho.

Ellefson, who won the recent Salt Creek Invitational, finished with a 5K time of 16 minutes, 35.0 seconds, only one second behind his personal best.
