Ensastegui second at Ocosta race
WESTPORT — Forks’ Karen Ensastegui finished second and teammate Madalyn Archibald fourth at the Ocosta Invitational Cross-Country race.
Ensastequi finished with a time of 21 minutes, 55 seconds, 19 seconds off the first-place time. Archibald finished with a time of 22:29.
On the boys’ side, Forks’ Wesley Camacho finished sixth with a time of 18:05. Matthew Larson was 13th with a time of 18:51.
Boys tennis Sequim 6, Klahowya 1
SEQUIM — The Sequim boys dominated a tennis meet with Klahowya, with all three singles and three doubles teams winning.
In singles’ matches in Friday’s meet, Blake Wiker beat Jacob Kraft 6-1, 6-0, while Thomas Hughes beat Drew Kraft 6-0, 6-1 and Raymond Lam beat Tyler Godsey 6-3, 6-0.
In doubles’ play, the team of Sam Frymyer and Liam Braaten won 6-0, 6-2, the team of Dustin Koch and Henry Hughes won 6-1, 6-2 and the team of Nathan Despain and Ryan Tolberd won 6-0, 6-0.
Sequim, 2-0 in Olympic League play, plays at Chimacum (0-1) at 4 p.m. Monday.
