SEQUIM — Sequim stayed a half-game ahead of Olympic for the Olympic League’s third seed to district play with a 60-49 win over Bremerton.
Wolves coach Craig Brooks said the biggest takeaway was the victory itself.
“Winning the game,” Brooks said. “We are trying to get third in league. We need to take care of business down the stretch.”
The Wolves (4-5, 6-9) exacted some revenge from a 67-60 road loss to the Knights all the way back on Dec. 8.
Vince Carrizosa led the way with 14 points, including four 3-pointers, while Isaiah Moore added 12 for Sequim.
“Isaiah and Vince played great,” Brooks said.
Sequim visits North Kitsap (9-0, 11-4) on Friday.

PORT ANGELES — Everybody played and 11 Roughriders scored in beating the Bulldogs on Tuesday night.
“Defensively, we were really solid in the first half despite missing some guys,” coach Kasey Ulin said. “Ty [Hunter] is out sick, a couple of other guys are sick, but we were able to work on some things we wanted to focus on.”
Ulin said a goal was to take care of the basketball.
“We had seven turnovers which was a season low,” Ulin said.
The Riders also wanted to make things tough for North Mason offensively.
“We wanted to pressure the ball and we did. We forced 29 turnovers,” Ulin said.
“We had 38 points in the paint. We settled for too many 3s, but a lot of that was taking the first open shot. We played 15 guys, 12 in the first half, and that can throw off your rhythm a little.”
Parker Nickerson did a little bit of everything for Port Angeles, leading the way with 10 points, seven assists, seven steals and six rebounds.
Isaiah Shamp added 16 points and eight rebounds down low for the Riders (8-1, 10-5), and Josiah Long was active with five points, seven assists and three steals.
Port Angeles visits Olympic (4-5, 5-6) tonight.

Neah Bay 99, Clallam Bay 39
NEAH BAY — The Red Devils basketball team shot 62 percent from the floor to blast past Clallam Bay at home Tuesday.
Buddy Aguirre led the way for Neah Bay with 21 points on 9-of-12 shooting and added six rebounds, six assists and four steals.
Tyler Swan added 20 points, seven rebounds and four steals for the Red Devils (1-0, 5-4), while Jaden Halttunen was active with eight points, four assists and three steals.
Makyah Chambers also had a well-rounded night for Neah Bay with seven points, six assists and three steals.
The Red Devils held the Bruins to 14 of 41 shooting in the game (34 percent).
Coletyn Hull had 10 points and Daniel Cumming eight for Clallam Bay.
