KINGSTON — The Redhawks saw their eight-game winning streak snapped in a loss to the Class 2A Buccaneers.

“It’s been awhile since we lost [Dec. 30], but I think we can take a lot out of it seeing how we played,” Port Townsend coach Tom Webster said.

“I think they are a really good team and they caused us some problems. They are long, they have some taller guys and we struggled a bit offensively against their man-to-man defense.”

Berkley Hill led the Redhawks with 15 points. Detrius Kelsall and Kaiden Parcher each had 13.

“Kaiden was scoring well against their big guys,” Webster said.

Port Townsend (7-0, 13-4) faced Klahowya late Thursday and will host Coupeville on Saturday.

The Redhawks will honor Hill, the team’s lone senior.

“Yeah, it’s senior night or Berkley Hill Night as we are calling it,” Webster said.

“He’s had a great senior year and it will be good to show him some support.”
