CHIMACUM — The Chimacum Cowboys baseball team got into a wild back-and-forth game with Vashon, coming from way behind to tie the game, but ultimately falling 13-9.
The Cowboys only managed five hits in the loss, but scored nine runs thanks to five walks, 12 stolen bases and three Vashon errors.
The Pirates got up 8-0 on the Cowboys after 2½ innings, but Chimacum erupted for six runs in the bottom of the third to get back in the game.
After the Cowboys scored three runs in the fifth inning, they had come all the back to tie the game at 9-9. But the Pirates scored two runs in the sixth and two in the seventh for the final margin.
The game had a total of 19 stolen bases. The Cowboys’ Henry Brebberman, Cole Dotson, and Arron Serrato all stole two bases each.
Brebberman was 2 for 3 on the day with a run scored, Ben Preston was 1 for 3 with a double, a run scored, an RBI and a stolen base.
Carson McConnell was 1 for 2 with a run scored, an RBI and a steal. Cody Clark had a double and Jonah Diehl had a run scored and two RBIs.
Chimacum (0-1, 4-5) played a doubleheader against Tenino on Saturday. The Cowboys next play at Port Townsend on April 10.

Port Angeles 13, Kingston 2, 6 innings
KINGSTON — Ethan Flodstrom and Joel Wood led the Roughriders at the plate with three hits and three RBIs apiece in an Olympic League win over the Buccaneers.
Lucas Jarnagin added two hits and drove in three runs and Brody Merrit doubled and singled and brought in two more runs for the powerful Port Angeles offense.
Timmy Adams got the win on the mound for the Riders, allowing two runs, one earned in three innings of work.
Tyler Bowen and Seth Scofield combined to strike out five and allow one run in three innings.

SEQUIM — The Wolves scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning and two more in the bottom of the ninth in one of the most unlikely ways possible to pull off a come-from-behind win over Bremerton.
The Wolves got down 6-2 to the Knights after four innings, but starter Johnnie Young knuckled down over the second half of the game, not allowing a run over the final three innings. Despite getting rocked early, Young stayed in the entire game and pitched a complete game, picking up the win.
The Wolves began their comeback with three runs in the sixth. Young started the rally with walk, then a steal. He came around to score on a passed ball. Brandon Barnett later drove in a run with a single and the Wolves’ third run scored on an error.
In the bottom of the seventh, Johnnie Young was also in the middle of the rally. He started it off with a one-out double. The Knights then made errors on ground balls by Michael Grubb and Silas Thomas to allow a run to score, making it 6-6.
Hayden Eaton was intentionally walked to load the bases to create a force-out at every base. Then, Austin Newton was hit by a pitch, driving in the winning run.
Newton gets credit for an RBI on the play.
Young went seven innings, striking out eight and walking one, allowing four earned runs. At the plate, he was 1 for 2 with three runs scored, two walks and two stolen bases.
Michael Grubb was 2 for 4 with two runs scored and two stolen bases. Barnett was 2 for 4 with two RBIs, while Thomas was 1 for 4 with two runs scored and two RBIs.
