PORT ANGELES — Peninsula sports fans were brief and to the point when talking about the end of the Seattle Mariners’ season Monday night.
“It stunk,” said one customer at The Office Sports Pub in Port Angeles as he watched the game wind down — 12-3 in the New York Yankees’ favor.
Bartender Kristy Sholinder was a little more expressive.
“It sucks. Even if they lose tonight, we played one helluva season,” she said after switching the pub’s television sets to the Monday Night Football game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the New York Giants.
Customers at Oh Gallagher’s Sports Bar and Grill also were bitterly disappointed, watching as the game ended.
