If you want to score some clams, Quilcene Bay, Duckabush and the Point Whitney Tideland should provide more than enough opportunity Monday through Thursday.
The best conditions should occur Wednesday afternoon, when a minus 2.83-foot low tide is expected to hit Hood Canal at 1:15 p.m.
■ Kayak Symposium — The 11th annual Port Angeles Kayak Symposium returns to downtown Port Angeles today through Saturday.
The event includes numerous on-water and off-water clinics, kayak demos, a kayak race and special presentations tonight and Saturday night.

■ Straight chiron — With lake fishing season right around the corner, fly anglers are going to start loading their box with chironomids.
John Gort will teach anglers how to tie their own during a free fly-tying seminar at West Fly Fishing Outfitters, 140 W. Front St., in Port Angeles at 10 a.m.
■ Spring cleaning — Admiralty Audubon will give Kah Tai Park a spit shine this Saturday when it gathers a volunteer cleanup crew from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Volunteers will be pulling Scots broom and removing trash. Layered work clothes and work gloves are encouraged, and homemade cookies will be provided.
