LINCOLN PARK BMX: Local riders earn 55 state plates

Six state champions in eight classifications from Olympic Peninsula

PORT ANGELES — A whopping total of 55 Lincoln Park BMX riders this season earned state plates as among the top riders statewide in their classifications.

Six Lincoln Park riders are state BMX champions in eight classifications. Taking top honors as the No. 1 riders in their classifications were local riders Teyah Elofson-Cross, 9-10 female cruiser; Trinity Gaither, 17-20 female cruiser and 17-20 expert; Mason Wilcox-Olton, 9 cruiser; Jackson Beal, 16 cruiser and 16 expert; Kylin Weitz, 10 female expert; and Ryan Albin Jr. 16 novice/intermediate.

Weitz was also second in the 9-10 female cruiser class, while Elofson-Cross was second in the 10 female expert class as Lincoln Park BMX took first and second in both classifications.

Other second-place state finishers include Nyah Langdon, 11-12 female cruiser and 12 expert; Kameron Langdon, 9 cruiser; Bradan Gray, 10 cruiser and 10 expert; Cory Cooke, 21-25 cruiser and 21-25 expert; Logan Gray 7 expert; and Daniel Stroup, 10 novice/intermediate.

Third-place state finishers include Bennett Gray, 8 cruiser; Kristopher Giffin, 9 novice; Thomas Penn, 12 novice/intermediate; and Danny Goettling, 9 expert; Ryker Rossi, 13 novice/intermediate; Kali Hopper, 12 female expert, third; 13 Female Expert — Makaylie Underwood, 13 female expert, third; Keira Keller, 14 novice/intermediate; Caleb Underwood, 15 novice/intermediate; and Tommy Schroeder, 36-40 novice, third.

Lincoln Park BMX last weekend hosted the state finals. Of the 538 riders at Sunday’s finals, 140 were local riders.
