LEFTIES: Thomas slugs HR, drives in four in win

PORT ANGELES — A late-inning rally lifted Port Angeles to a 13-6 triumph over North Division-leading Bellingham on Wednesday night at Civic Field.

Port Angeles (15-26) put four runs across in the sixth, with Danny Porras scoring via a wild pitch, Jeremy Giesegh adding a two-run single and Ty Thomas coming through with an RBI single to go up 8-4.

Thomas led the Lefties at the plate with four RBIs, including a two-run home run to score Giesegh.

Will White drew a bases-loaded walk to bring home Dom Dominguez in the bottom of the seventh, and Sam Matosich and Jett Nelson each produced sacrifice flies to score two more.

White also had an RBI single in the second inning for the Lefties.

Aidan Colin tossed two perfect innings in relief to close out the contest, striking out three for the Lefties.

Port Angeles wrapped the three-game homestand with Bellingham late Thursday and will play a weekend series at Springfield starting tonight at 6:35 p.m.
