PORT ANGELES — Port Angeles showed some long-ball prowess, connecting on three home runs, all solo shots, in a 6-3 West Coast League loss to Wenatchee on Thursday night at Civic Field.

Spencer Dickinson’s solo home run gave Port Angeles an early 1-0 lead after two innings.

Leadoff hitter Jeremy Giesegh had two of the long bombs, connecting in the fifth and seventh innings, the latter making it a 6-3 contest. Giesegh went 3-for-4 on the night.

Port Angeles put two aboard with one out in the eighth but couldn’t capitalize, and Giesegh was hit by a pitch to open the ninth before Wenatchee closed the game out with three straight strikeouts.

The Lefties allowed 13 walks.
