PORT ANGELES — The Lefties muscled up with three home runs and six extra-base hits in a 15-3 shellacking of Highline.

Port Angeles used a combination of speed and power in Tuesday’s nonleague win as they added six stolen bases to their home runs. They also got plunked six times and walked eight times by wild Highline pitchers.

Jeff Jamison and Damiano Palmiegiani led the hit parade. Jamison hit two home runs while Damiano Palmiegiani belted a two-run home run. Jamison finished 2 for 3 with four runs scored, two RBIs and three walks, while Palmiegiani finished 3 for 3 with three runs scored, three RBIs and two stolen bases. Palmiegiani got on base for every plate appearance as he also had a walk and got on after being hit by a pitch.

Baxter Halligan doubled, and finished 1 for 3 with a run scored, two RBIs and a walk. He also got on base two other times after being hit by pitches.

Tommy Takayoshi was 2 for 4 with a double, two runs scored and an RBI. Alex Marco was 0 for 3, but he walked once and got hit by pitches twice, scoring a run and driving in a run. Dylan Cyr was 1 for 5 with a double, a run scored, a walk and two RBIs.

A quartet of Lefties pitchers allowed just six hits, with Tyler Tan picking up the victory in relief. Ryan Moeller started, going three innings and giving up no earned runs. He walked two. Tan pitched two innings, allowing four hits and one earned run while striking out one.

Zach Tresemer pitched two innings, giving up no hits, while walking one and striking out two. Jordan Banholzer finished up, pitching the final two innings. He did walk five, but allowed no hits and struck out two.

The Lefties played Highline Wednesday night after press deadline. The team will not play today, but will participate in a home run derby off of Civic Pier and march in the Independence Day parade as part of Fourth of July celebrations.

Friday, the squad will travel to Longview to play the Cowlitz Bears for the beginning of a three-game series.
