KLAHHANE GYMNASTICS: Xcel bronze team takes third at Great Wolf Lodge invite

CENTRALIA — The Klahhane Gymnastics Xcel teams competed at the Great Wolf Lodge Invitational hosted by Precision Elite Gymnastics in Centralia over the weekend, with the Bronze team taking third.

The bronze highlights include first-place floor wins from Penny Goodwin with a 9.65, Lucy Monaghan with a 9.6 and Sasha Gmazel with a 9.2.The Xcel Bronze team’s total score was 112.6.

Two of the six gold team gymnasts, Abigail Odland and Lorelei Sanders, also competed this weekend. Both athletes had standout routines on the bars and floor. Odland placed first on the floor with a 9.275 and on the bars with a 9.425. She was second on the beam with an 8.925 and second in the all-around with a score of 35.325. Sanders placed second on the bars with a 9.125, third on the floor with a 9.25 and was sixth in the all-around with a 35.55.

Representing Klahhane’s Xcel silver team solo, Zayleigh McCullem showcased polished routines with a first on the vault (9.45), third on the beam (9.05), fifth on the bars (9.3), and second all-around (36.9).

The platinum trio of Carly Mae Riggs, Elyse Brown and Paytynn Lindley represent the highest level currently at Klahhane Gymnastics. Brown continued her floor podium streak for the season, finishing second on the vault with a 9.075 and fifth with a 9.325.

Lucy Monaghan: First all-around, 37.45; first on the floor, 9.6; fourth on the beam, 9.2; seventh on the vault, 9.25.

Kinley Matthews: Second all-around, 37.4; second on the vault, 9.5; third on the bars, 9.35; sixth on the beam, 9.15.

Adrie McGuire: Third all-around, 37.35; second on the vault, 9.5; fourth on the floor, 9.35; fifth on the bars, 9.35; ninth on the beam, 9.0.

Sasha Gmazel: Fourth all-around, 36.0; first on the vault, 9.35; seventh on the beam, 8.85; 10th on the bars, 8.6.

Penny Goodwin: First on the floor, 9.65; seventh on the vault, 9.3; 10th on the bars, 8.9; seventh all-around, 36.85.

Reagan Haguewood: Fourth on the vault, 9.4; fifth on the bars, 9.0; fifth on the floor, 9.1; 14th on the beam, 8.45; seventh all-around 35.95.

Nora Pecoraro: Ninth on the vault, 9.2; eighth on the bars, 9.1, 14th on the beam, 8.6, fifth on the floor, 9.3, 10th all-around, 36.2.

Addie Brown: Seventh on the beam, 9.1;14th on the vault, 9.0; 15th on the bars, 8.6; 13th on the floor, 8.65; 15th all-around, 35.35.
