PORT ANGELES — Sequim, Port Angeles and Crescent gymnasts took the top six all-around spots in a meet with Kingston High School this weekend.
A combined Port Angeles/Sequim/Crescent team finished with 149.85 points to Kingston’s 78.35.
Sequim’s Alex Schmadeke was first in the all-around with 33.3 points. Port Angeles’ Jessamyn Schindler, a freshman, was second at 32.25, Susannah Sharp of Sequim third at 29.95, Port Angeles’ Mei-Ying Harper-Smith fourth at 27.8, Sequim’s Ellie Turner fifth at 23.6 and Crescent’s Aubrie Scott sixth at 23.45.
Sharp took first in the vault with an 8.4, while Schmadeke was second at 8.3. Schindler was third at 8.0 and Harper-Smith fourth at 7.5. Scott came in sixth with a 7.1, while Turner was sixth at 6.7 and Port Angeles’ Kathryn Jones eighth at 6.2.
Schmadeke took first in the bars with a 7.85, while Schindler was second with a 6.0. Sequim’s Danica Pierson was third (6.1), Sharp was fourth (5.7), Harper-Smith fifth (5.6), Turner sixth (4.9), Jones seventh (4.6) and Scott eighth (4.4).
In the beam, Schmadeke was first again with a 9.0. Schindler was second (8.7), Harper-Smith third (7.9), Sharp fourth (7.4), Pierson fifth (7.2), Sequim’s Amara Brown seventh (6.2) and Turner eighth (5.69).
In the floor exercise, Schindler took first with an 8.39. Sharp was second (8.45), Schmadeke third (8.15), Harper-Smith fourth (6.8), Scott fifth (6.15), Turner sixth (6.1) and Port Angeles’ Yau Fu eighth (5.7).
