GYMNASTICS: Klahhane Xcel gold, platinum teams win second in Lacey

LACEY — The Klahhane Xcel gold and platinum teams both won second-place team awards at the Black Hills Gymnastics Fire and Ice Challenge this weekend.

The Klahhane Gymnastics Xcel Gold team, made up of Carly Mae Riggs, Paytynn Lindley, Gracelyn Goss, Lainey DePiro and Raynee Ciarlo, scored a team score of 109.635.

Raynee Ciarlo was first in the all-around with a 36.15. She finished in the top four in every event. She was second on the bars with a 9.275, third on the vault with an 8.875, third on the beam with an 8.875 and fourth on the floor with a 9.124.

Paytynn Lindley was second in the all around with a 35.75. She was second on the vault with a 9.0 and second on the floor with a 9.3. She was fourth on the bars with a 9.0 and fifth on the beam with a 9.3.

Lainey DePiro was third in the all-around with a 36.2. She was first on the floor with a 9.4, second on the beam with an 8.96, fifth on the bars with a 9.15 and ninth on the vault with an 8.7.

Carly Mae Riggs was first on the vault with a 9.125, first on the floor with a 9.45, sixth on the bars with an 8.725 and eighth on the beam with a 7.75. She finished fourth in the all-around with a 35.050.

Gracelyn Goss was first on the beam with an 8.9 and third on the bars with a 9.2.

The platinum team made up of Harper Hilliker, Elyse Brown, Mariah Traband and Daylen Williams scored a team score of 107.925

Mariah Traband was first in the all-around with a 36.15, finishing first or second in every event. She was first on the floor with a 9.45, second in the vault with a 9.050, second in the bars with an 8.55 and second on the beam with a 9.1.

Harper Hilliker was second in the all-around with a 35.65. She was first on the beam with a 9.15, third in the vault with 8.95, third on the bars with an 8.5 and fifth on the floor with a 9.95.

Elyse Brown was first on the vault with a 9.15, third on the beam with an 8.8, third on the floor with a 9.2 and fifth on the bars with an 8.075. She was fourth overall with a 35.225.

Daylen Williams was fifth on the vault with an 8.7, sixth on the bars with a 7.85, sixth on the beam with a 7.3 and sixth on the floor with a 9.0. She finished sixth in the all-around with a score of 32.85.

Two Klahhane gymnasts received special judges’ awards — DePiro won a judge’s award for best presentation on the floor and Ciarlo won a judge’s award for best bar dismount.
