GYMNASTICS: Klahhane adds team and begins season

PORT ANGELES — The expanded Klahhane Gymnastics teams had a solid start to their season at the Pumpkin Fest Meet at Metropolitan Gymnastics in Kent on Saturday.

For the newly formed bronze team members, this was their first introduction to competition.

“We were looking for a relatively small meet but one with a high level of competition and this one was a great fit,” said Klahhane Director Jan Urfer. The team exceeded expectations with five out of the eight gymnasts achieving or exceeding the 35.0 qualifying score to advance to the state meet in the spring.
