Three card aces in one week and Pro-Am registration

SEQUIM — Three Sunland Golf & Country Club members recorded hole-in-ones last week, the second time in 2020 that three players managed to hole out in the same week at the Sequim course.

In mid-July, Bob Berard, Frank Herodes and Ann Hester all notched singles on the par-3 fifth hole.

This time around, Scott Ferguson posted his third ace and first at Sunland, holing out on the 160-yard fifth hole with his 5-iron and a Callaway ball on Oct. 5.

Jay Tomlin changed up the pattern Oct. 7, acing the par-3 17th from 125 yards out with his 8-iron and a Callaway Chromesoft ball. The shot is Tomlin’s sixth career ace and third at Sunland.

Rick Edecl posted his first hole-in-one during Sunland’s Couples Golf Championship last Saturday. Edel holed out on the 17th hole from 120 yards with his 6-hybrid and a Titleist ProV1 ball.
