The 2020 Clallam County Amateur Championship, open at all amateurs, is scheduled for July 10-12 at three Clallam County golf courses.
The 54-hole medal play tournament starts Friday, July 10, at Port Angeles’ Peninsula Golf Club, with tee times starting at 11 a.m.
Day two is Saturday, July 11, at Sequim’s Sunland Golf & Country Club, with tee times beginning at 9 a.m.
Final-round play opens at 9 a.m. Sunday, July 12, at Cedars at Dungeness in Sequim.
Cost is $125 per player (players must have a valid USGA handicap). The fee includes three rounds of golf, range balls and a Sunday meal.
The tourney features $3,000 in raffle prizes, and $5,000 hole-in-one prizes each day.

Sequim’s Eric Bower’s final round of 3-under-par 69 at Cedars at Dungeness propelled him to a three-shot win in the 2019 Clallam Amateur over Mike DuPuis.
Stars and Stripes
SkyRidge Golf Course in Sequim will host its annual Independence Day Stars and Stripes Golf Tournament on Saturday.
The two-person event features three separate formats over 27 holes of golf.
A 9:30 a.m. shotgun start will open play.
Golfers will play better ball from the green tees on the front nine, switch to the scramble format from the green tees on the back nine and finish with nine holes of alternate shot while playing from SkyRidge’s silver tees.
The cost is $90 per team and includes green fees, range balls, KPs, a long putt competition and food.
A honey pot competition is an extra $20 per person.
Power carts are $15 per seat.

River Center tourney
The second annual River Center Charity Golf Tournament is set for Friday through Sunday, July 31-Aug. 2, at Cedars at Dungeness.
The two-person scramble tournament is a fundraising event for the Dungeness River Audubon Center, sponsored by the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe and 7 Cedars Resort.
Entry fee is $80 per person and includes green fees, golf cart, range balls, a boxed lunch and prizes.
A “virtual tournament,” players will tee off, play their round and then turn scores into the pro shop. The winning pair in multiple categories will be announced via email, with tournament prizes for pickup or mailed to winners.
All proceeds benefit the Dungeness River Audubon Center’s ongoing operations at Railroad Bridge Park.
The river center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that offers year-round adult education, workshops and field trips, as well as educating more than 3,000 students from Clallam and Jefferson counties each year with daylong watershed and nature studies.
Teams may also book foursomes for the tourney play dates.
