SKYRIDGE GOLF COURSE in Sequim will host a benefit tournament for the Sequim High School softball team Saturday, March 5.
The annual four-person scramble tournament will tee off with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
Individual entries in the tournament are $50 per person and $200 per team.
The entry fee includes 18 holes of golf, range balls and lunch.
A limited number of carts are available for $15 per seat.
Hole sponsorships also are available for $100.
Funds raised go toward lodging, travel and other miscellaneous expenses that aren’t covered by the Sequim School District.
The Wolves have qualified for the state tournament for the past five seasons, winning the state championship in 2011.

30th Arctic Open
Port Townsend Golf Club will host the 30th annual Arctic Open sponsored by Crown Distributing on Saturday and Sunday.
The 36-hole tournament features 18 holes of two-person scramble play Saturday and 18 holes of best ball Sunday.
Entries are $200 per team and include three days of golf, including a practice round Friday, lunch on the course Saturday and Sunday and a shot at special hole-in-one prizes.
The Arctic Open, befitting its name, will be played in any type of weather.
Players are advised to bring all-weather gear.
Conditions are expected to range from partly cloudy Saturday to rainy Sunday with temperatures in the upper 40s.
Stay dry at Ludlow
Port Ludlow Golf Club recently added a new golf learning center on its driving range.
The three-sided structure resembles a fancy wedding tent. Players can stay dry while working on their games on artificial turf mats.
The new learning center is the likely location of Port Ludlow’s new Lunch and Lesson promotion.
For $72, players will receive a two-hour lesson focusing on the full swing and the short game with a PGA Professional, followed by lunch and a post-practice evaluation and critique with the pro.
Spending two hours with Port Ludlow’s well-trained staff of PGA Teaching Professional Ted Wurtz, Port Ludlow PGA Head Pro Darren Posey and PGA Assistant Pro Adam Barrows, will definitely improve your game and help get ready for the prime spring and summer golf seasons.
Port Ludlow also is offering a two-for-one deal through Feb. 29.
Two players can play the course with a cart for $49.

Spring sports practices, including boys and girls golf, begin Monday, Feb. 29.
Port Angeles, Sequim, Port Townsend and Chimacum high schools all field golf teams.
