BREMERTON — The Roughriders gritted out a win over the Trojans in warm temperatures.

“Playing in the heat, the girls battled to get the win,” Port Angeles coach Stephanie Gochnour said.

Claire Fritschler’s No. 2 singles match and the match of No. 4 doubles team of Lum Fu and Hanna Brown both lasted more than three hours.

Gochnour selected the trio as her players of the match.

“They were determined, never gave up, played smart, and were able to seal the win,” Gochnour said.
