GIRLS SWIMMING: Port Angeles tops Sequim

PORT ANGELES — Port Angeles placed first in all 12 events and outscored Sequim in all 12 events en route to a 143-40 win in girls swimming action at William Shore Memorial Pool.

The Roughriders had three two-event winners: Carter Juskevich (200 freestyle and 100 freestyle), Audra Perrizo (200 individual medley and 500 free) and Ashlee Reid (50 free and 100 backstroke).

The Riders tallied two more state qualifying times on Thursday, Juskevich in the 200 free (2:06.24) and Reid in the 100 backstroke (1:05.83)

Port Angeles swimmers also earned eight new individual district times: Jessica Burke (200 free), Brook Sires (200 free), Kylee Reid (200 individual medley), Ashlee Reid (50 free), Jaine Macias (100 butterfly), Carter Juskevich (100 free), Audra Perrizo (500 free) and Janie Macias (100 back).

Port Angeles returns to action Tuesday at William Shore against Bainbridge.
