PORT ANGELES — Getting three goals and an assist from their star player Millie Long, the Port Angeles soccer girls beat Olympic 4-0 on a freezing cold Tuesday night, winning their first Olympic League 2A Division in 34 years.
Long also assisted on a goal by Mia Gagnon and the Roughriders back line only allowed two shots on goal.
The Roughriders begin play in the West Central District III 2A tournament on Nov. 5. That game might be played at Wally Sigmar Field at Peninsula College.
Meanwhile, Sequim beat Kingston 1-0 to lock up third place in the league. The Wolves begin postseason play Saturday at Franklin Pierce Stadium in Tacoma.
