GIRLS BASKETBALL: Neah Bay holds back Chimacum

CHIMACUM — Gina McCaulley led all scorers with 16 points and also had four steals and three rebounds as Neah Bay earned a 46-35 nonleague victory over Chimacum.

Starlena Halttunen added 12 points, three steals and three assists for Neah Bay (5-4).

Jessica Greene scored eight points, hauled down five rebounds and added five assists and three steals for the Red Devils.

Vonte Aguirre led Neah Bay with 12 rebounds, six offensive, and also scored six points.

Chimacum was led by 12 points from Shanya Nisbet.

Bailey Castillo added seven points and Maddie Dowling notched six for the Cowboys (0-3, 2-8).

Chimacum hosts Mount Vernon Christian on Monday.

The Red Devils visit Crescent on Wednesday.
