PORT TOWNSEND — Port Townsend is state-bound for the first time in 11 years after beating Bellevue Christian 51-8 at Memorial Field on Friday night at Memorial Field.
David Sua passed for two touchdowns and ran for two for the Redhawks.
The Vikings scored in the second quarter to cut Port Townsend’s lead to 15-8, but the Redhawks added two more scores before halftime and never looked back.
The eighth-ranked Redhawks improve to 10-0 on the season. They will face third-ranked King’s (9-1) next week. The Knights defeated Lynden Christian 21-7 on Friday.
Quilcene 46, Tulalip Heritage 44
MARYSVILLE — The Rangers earned their second consecutive Class 1B state football appearance after going on the road and defeating the Hawks at Quil Ceda Stadium on Friday night.
A.J. Prater ran for a 40-yard touchdown late in the game to put Quilcene ahead 46-36.
That breathing room was short-lived, though, because Tulalip scored soon after.
The Rangers them fumbled the ball to add some drama to the ending of the game, but they soon got the ball back with an Andy Johnston interception.
Quilcene (7-2) will play at Taholah (4-4) next week.
Clallam Bay 54, Lyle-Wishram 38
LYLE — Clayton Willis ran wild to help the Bruins earn their 18th state playoff berth.
Willis ran for 299 yards on 13 carries scored seven touchdowns — six rushing and another on a 76-yard touchdown pass from Alan Greene.
Greene scored Clallam Bay’s other TD on a 72-yard run.
The Bruins (4-5) reach state for the first time since 2007-08.
They will face second-ranked Neah Bay (8-0) next week.
Crescent 18, Darrington 6
DARRINGTON — Crescent won this Logger-vs.-Logger match to conclude its season on a high note.
Crescent, which has only one senior, finishes its season with a 3-7 overall record, earning its most wins since 2012.
