COLLEGE SPORTS: Port Angeles’ Johnson signs with South Puget Sound; roundup of area college commitments

PORT ANGELES — Recent Port Angeles High School graduate Krista Johnson signed a letter of intent to play for the South Puget Sound Community College women’s basketball team next season.

Johnson averaged 12.8 points per game, 3.7 assists and 3.6 steals for the Roughriders as senior this past year.

She was named to the All-Peninsula Girls Basketball team and the Olympic League First Team.

Johnson is the second Port Angeles player to sign with the Clippers, joining Lenora Hofer, who signed earlier last month.
