COLLEGE SOCCER: Peninsula men's team's season ends with shutout loss

COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — There will be no three-peat by the Peninsula College men’s soccer team.

The fourth-ranked Pirates fell to top-ranked North Idaho 2-0 in the Northwest Athletic Conference quarterfinals on Saturday.

This is the earliest Peninsula’s season has ended since 2009. That year’s team also lost in the quarterfinals.

Prior to this season, the Pirates had won three of the last four NWAC championships, including the last two.
