EVERETT — The Peninsula basketball women won their third out of four, blowing out the Everett Trojans in the second half to win 76-55.
The men lost their game to Everett 96-63, just their second loss in North Division play.
In Saturday’s women’s game, the Pirates entered the half up just 30-25, but swamped the Trojans 46-30 in the second half to win going away. The Pirates started the second half on a 12-1 run and the game was never close afterward.
Peninsula held Everett to just 28.8 percent shooting from the floor and 16.1 percent from 3-point range. The Trojans’ Sarefina Balderas scored most of her team’s points with a 34-point effort, but she took 29 shots to get those points.
Meanwhile, the Pirates shot 51.7 percent from the floor. The trio of Logan Luke, Sunshine Vicente and Casandra White all scored 18 points each, tying for the team lead. White shot 4 for 6 from 3-point range, while Vicente shot 3 for 6 from beyond the arc. Ashlynn Sharp added nine points and led the team with 10 rebounds and six assists. Vicente had seven rebounds and six assists.
Kuutuuq Danner had eight points and nine rebounds for the Pirates.
Peninsula (3-3, 10-8) will next play Shoreline (0-6, 2-14) at home at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
Wednesday is Peninsula College’s veterans’ night. All veterans will be admitted to the game free.

Men’s Basketball Everett 96, Peninsula 63
EVERETT — The Peninsula men had their three-game winning streak snapped by first-place and unbeaten in league Everett with a 96-63 loss.
If the men could have beaten Everett, the Pirates would have been in a first-place tie with the Trojans in the North. But, Everett, which shot 50 percent for the game and hit 15 3-pointers, showed why they are a first-place team. The Pirates were only able to shoot 29.3 percent from the floor.
The Pirates were led by Erik Kelly, who had 14 points and Davien Harris-Williams, who had 13. Kelly led the team with seven rebounds, while Harris-Williams and Keith Seldon each had four assists.
Peninsula is still tied with Edmonds for second place in the North. The Pirates (4-2, 7-13) will next play Shoreline (2-4, 6-13) at home at 7 p.m.
