PORT ANGELES — Six more Peninsula College sophomores have signed to play at the next level, including Alicia Dugan, Jenise McKnight, Anaya Rodisha and Tai Thomas from the women’s basketball team and Jalon McCullough and Alex Baham from the men’s team.
“I’m so proud of all of these athletes, as they really have committed to this program and their individual craft,” women’s head coach Ali Crumb said.
“Regardless, these players are not a finished product, as they will only get better. I’m happy and excited to know that Peninsula has only been a part of their maturity and talent-growth, and know that each of these universities will help mold these athletes into excellent young women and basketball players.”
Men’s head coach Mitch Freeman said he also enjoyed being a part of his players’ growth.
“It’s been honor and a privilege to coach both Jalon and Alex for the past two years,” Freeman said.
“We are very excited to watch them as they continue their collegiate success at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks next year. They exemplify what it means to be a student-athlete in the way they carry themselves on the court, in the classroom and in our community. They helped Peninsula College win more than 37 Games, a league title (2016), and an Elite-Eight appearance (2017).”
Dugan will play for Chaminade University in Hawaii.
McKnight and Rodisha will reunite at Notre Dame De Namur University in the Bay Area of California.
Thomas, of Honolulu, Hawaii, will continue her career at Western Oregon University.
