FORKS — Forks wrapped up a solid regular season, getting a balanced effort with four players scoring in double figures and nine players scoring at least five points, in an 80-28 win over Tenino.
Seth Johnson led the Spartans with 14, while Joseph Reaume and Cole Baysinger each scored 13 and Braton Armas 11.
While the win didn’t change Forks’ playoff position, it was a special night, said coach Rick Gooding. It was senior night for Jake Jacoby, Cole Baysinger and Scott Archibald.
Former Forks boys basketball star, now Port Angeles boys basketball head coach, Kasey Ulin, was the inaugural inductee in the Spartan Basketball Hall of Fame before the game and Lonnie Archibald was honored for 50 years of taking photos for the team.
“The game was all about the seniors. We’re in a position we’re in right now because of their leadership,” said Gooding.
Forks has a week off to rest and get ready for its first round playoff game. As the No. 2 seed out of the Evergreen 1A League, the Spartans (6-2, 14-4) host a 1A District 4 playoff game Friday against Seton Catholic (5-5, 9-11), the No. 3 seed of the Trico League.

CLALLAM BAY — The Bruins’ Ryan McCoy had a game for the ages, scoring 42 of his team’s 46 points in a North Olympic League win over the Loggers.
McCoy outdueled Crescent’s KC Spencer, who hit six 3-pointers for 19 points.
McCoy amazingly managed his scoring outburst the old-fashioned way — with zero 3-pointers. He hit 19 field goals and four free throws for his points. He also had 11 rebounds and six steals.
Bruins’ coach Kelly Gregory said other players on his squad that only has six players contributed to the win. “They were all helping on the rebounds,” he said.
The Bruins’ Colin Aldana and Ryan Strid each contributed seven rebounds and three steals, while Preston Eastwood had six rebounds.
The Bruins (2-7, 3-14) won two out of three against Crescent this season. Clallam Bay concludes its season at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday against Chief Kitsap. Crescent (2-7, 7-12) completed its season.

Olympic 76, Port Angeles 58
BREMERTON — Port Angeles lost out on the No. 2 seed to the Class 2A West Central District Tournament and the first-round home game that goes with it in a 76-58 road loss to Olympic.
The third-place Roughriders will start the district tournament on the road against the South Puget Sound League’s sixth seed Highline (15-6) at 7 p.m. Thursday.
Port Angeles edged Olympic 62-60 last season on the Trojans’ senior night, and Olympic gained revenge for that game, as well as a 50-39 loss to the Riders earlier this season with the win.
The senior-dominated Trojans were paced by 26 points from seniors Jaiden Mosley and 20 from Evan Turnquist in the win.
“Mosely and Turnquist are two of the top players in Class 2A and right now Olympic is a top-10 2A team right now. They are on a roll and they played really well against us,” Port Angeles coach Kasey Ulin said.
“It seems like the higher the stakes, the better they play and they were phenomenal all night.”
The Riders stayed close, trailing 33-25 at halftime and coming within eight again in the fourth quarter, but couldn’t keep Olympic off the scoreboard.
“We weren’t as sharp as we need to be defensively,” Ulin said. The first time [a 50-39 Port Angeles win] we really controlled tempo and kept them off the glass. This time we scored enough points to win the game, we just couldn’t string the multiple stops together to be able to cut the lead down and make a big run and get back into the game.”
The Riders (9-3, 13-7) enter the postseason on a two-game losing skid, but Ulin thinks his team is ready to do some damage.
“I’m fully confident in where we are,” he said. “I love our guys. We don’t get a home playoff game, but our focus is on playing the best we can for two weeks and making a run to regionals. “I’m kind of happy the schedule broke the way it did, we got to play North Kitsap and Olympic in playoff-type games and those are two of the best teams in the state. I hope those two games prepare us for districts because we have five or six of the top 14 teams in the RPI in our district. “We have to play with poise and execute offensively, and keep our focus on defense.”

SEQUIM — The Wolves wrapped their regular-season slate with a loss to the Olympic League 2A Division-champion Vikings.
Payton Glasser scored 26 points with five rebounds and two steals for Sequim.
Cole Williams added eight points and six boards for the fourth-place Wolves (6-6, 10-10).
Sequim will open district play on the road against the South Puget Sound League No. 4 Fife (17-3) at 7 p.m. Thursday.

NEAH BAY — The Neah Bay boys basketball team finished league play undefeated, beating Chief Kitsap 70-23 in its final regular season game.
Sean Bitegeko led the team with 20, while Keith Johnson Jr. scored 13 and Loiver Kallappa scored 11. Jay Brunk and Jaxson Halttunen each scored nine.
Neah Bay (9-0, 12-8) begins postseason play in the Class 1B Tri-District Tournament with a game at Port Angeles at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13. They will know their opponent after a Feb. 10th play-in game.
