PORT ANGELES — Port Angeles dropped an Olympic League bowling match 5-2 to Bremerton, but team and personal records were set by Zoey Van Gordon and Izzy Spencer on Thursday at Laurel Lanes.
“The standout performer of the evening was Zoey Van Gordon, who set a new program single-game score with an impressive 224 in game one,” coach Rebecca Gundersen said. “Zoey entered the record books by besting Abby Robinson’s 217. In game two, she maintained her strong play, finishing with a score of 146.”
Spencer also had a notable performance, earning a personal-best 158.
“Her highlight of the match came when she earned her first career turkey with three consecutive strikes to start game two,” Gundersen said.
The Riders host league-leading Klahowya on Monday.
