BMX RACING: 378 racers compete at Lincoln Park, more expected for NW finals

PORT ANGELES — In a bit of a dry run for the Pacific Northwest Gold Cup Finals to be hosted at the Lincoln Park BMX track, the track this weekend hosted double-point and triple-point state BMX qualifiers, bringing 378 riders in 78 motos in to town for Saturday’s triple-point races.

Twice as many adult and youth riders are expected for the Gold Cup Finals to be held Sept. 16-18. Track operator Sean Coleman expects 600-700 riders from eight states around the Pacific Northwest to compete in that event.
