PORT TOWNSEND — The stars of Port Townsend’s basketball past came together at the end of December to play an alumni game at Bruce Blevins Gym at Port Townsend High School.
The Port Townsend women’s game held Dec. 21 featured several sister acts. Hana (Class of 2005) and Sophie (Class of 2009) the Wilson Sisters as they were known at Port Townsend High School played.
Joining them were Kayla (Class of 2013) and Kassie Olin (Class of 2016), while Annie (Class of 2014) and Kaitlyn Meek (Class of 2018, MVP of the team) also played.
The women’s Red Squad won 48-34 paced by Sophie Wilson with 30 points. She hit five 3-pointers in the second half. Sophie Wilson was a former all-league player for Port Townsend and played four years at Willamette University.
Another Willamette alum, Bella Fox-Garrison (Port Townsend Class of 2011) also played.
The women’s White Squad was led by all-leaguer Jewel Johnson (Class of 2014) with 15 points. She played two years at Olympic College. Hana Wilson chipped in with 14 points. The Olin sisters combined for 11.
Other Port Townsend alumni who played were Jenna Carson (Class of 2017), Roslyn Salmon (Class of 2019), Taylor Tracer (Class of 2018) and Cece Nielsen (Class of 2018).
In the men’s game, it was an older squad versus younger, with the younger White Squad winning 90-72.

The Red Squad was led by Joel Thomas (Class of 2008) with 21. Sean Smith (Class of 1997) added 16 points and former Port Townsend coach Randy Maag hit four 3-pointers to tally 16. All-time Port Townsend great Alex Little added eight points and Brain Tracer (Class of 1991) hit a trey and finished with seven points.
Leading the younger squad was 2009 graduate Parker McClelland, an Olympic League 1A and 2A MVP and four-year player at Williams College in Massachusetts. McClelland scored 24 points. Jayden Watkins (Class of 2019) an all-Olympic League 1A player, hit five shots from behind the arc and finished with 23 points.
Berkely Hill (Class of 2017), an Olympic League 1A MVP and now a track athlete at George Fox University in Newberg, Ore., scored 18. Nico Winegar (Class of 2019), who plays football at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Ore., (only a few miles away from Hill’s school), chipped in with 11 points. Brian LeMaster (Class of 2013) scored 12.
